Kilmartin Museum's crowdfunding campaign is a success
On 15th February Aaron Watson visited Kilmartin Museum to photograph the Coll Hoard. This remarkable collection of Bronze Age artefacts was in desperate need of conservation, and many of the objects were literally self-destructing due to 'bronze disease'. The images were commissioned to be featured in support of a crowdfunding appeal launched by the Museum.

We are delighted that the campaign was a huge success and exceeded the £10,000 target. The artefacts have now been sent to the Scottish Conservation School in Edinburgh, where special techniques are being used to preserve them for future generations.
The additional funds raised are being used to help preserve an early Christian cross slab fragment from Kilmartin Glen.
